About Textured Memories

A Bond You Can Touch

For more than 25 years, I've worked in veterinary medicine, helping families celebrate, care for, and say goodbye to the pets they love. Throughout that time, I've witnessed firsthand how deeply our animals shape our lives—and how important it is to preserve the memories they leave behind.

But Textured Memories didn't begin as a business.

It began with a mistake.

One day, a beloved pet was cremated without the clay paw print their family had requested. A simple checkbox had been missed, and the opportunity to create that keepsake was gone forever. When the hospital manager reached out to let me know what had happened, I asked if they still had the ink paw prints that had been collected.

Using my background in digital sculpting, miniature painting, and design, I set out to create a replacement. The result was good—but it wasn't good enough.

The paw print didn't feel alive. It didn't capture the unique details that made it theirs.

So I started over.

And then again.

And again.

What began as an attempt to help one family grew into a passion for creating keepsakes that preserve more than a shape or an outline. I wanted to capture every contour, every texture, every tiny detail that makes a paw print, nose print, or portrait uniquely personal.

Today, every Pactile™ keepsake and Heartscape™ portrait is created with that same goal: to celebrate the bond between people and their pets through art you can see, touch, and feel.

Whether you're welcoming a new puppy, celebrating years of adventures, or honoring a companion whose memory will always be part of your story, we're honored to help preserve the moments that matter most.

Because some memories deserve more than a photograph.

They deserve to be felt.
